Founder & Executive Director
Fatima Alao is a healthcare leader and avid reader passionate about empowering youth through literacy. With a nursing background and BA in Health Administration from Athabasca University, she serves as a Lead Practitioner at Lalasfootfix. Fatima believes reading is a transformative tool for growth and connection, and she's dedicated to sharing this gift with the next generation.
Hakeem Subair
Chief Advisor
Hakeem Subair is a distinguished leader and entrepreneur dedicated to transforming global education and community development. As the founder and CEO of 1 Million Teachers (1MT) and 1MT Village, he has pioneered initiatives that empower educators, enhance vocational training, and create sustainable community-driven solutions. His work has impacted thousands of teachers, students, and communities, making him a making him a globally recognized education and development reformer.
Olunosen Louisa Ibhaze
Advisor
Olunosen Louisa Ibhaze, also known as “LadyLouisaWrites,” is an award-winning author and equity advocate who writes for both adults and children. She is passionate about teaching African culture through storytelling and is the founder of The Ottawa Black Bookclub, The Melanin Djali Project, and The Djali’s Bookshelf Podcast. Louisa holds Master’s degrees in Globalization & Development and Medical Sociology, and a Bachelor's in Sociology and Anthropology. She is a member of SCBWI, CANSCAIP, and ANA
